| Phyllis Askew Phyllis started training and showing her dogs over 20 years ago. She trains and shows mix breeds, Jack Russell terriers and Border Collies. While she has had a number of breeds (Afghans, Dobes, and Ibizian Hounds) in the past, Mary now concentrates on her English Springer Spaniels. Mary shows her dogs in obedience, rally, agility, and conformation. She has earned breed (CH), obedience (CDX), rally (thru Rally Excellent), and agility (thru Excellent) titles on her Springers. Mary teaches Household, Rally, and Competition Obedience classes, as well as Friday evening Puppy classes once a month. |

![]() Melanie Hellmer When Melanie acquired her first Doberman 14 years ago, she became interested in obedience training and showing. She trained and showed that Doberman from a CD (out of Novice A) to an obedience UDX title. Besides Dobermans, Melanie also trains and shows Miniature Pinschers in obedience and tracking. She put an OTCH on her first Min Pin, only the second Min Pin to ever achieve this title. Melanie teaches Competitive Obedience classes. |

The Northern breed is Raissa’s preference ad she keeps her dogs busy with conformation, obedience, agility, sledding, and weight-pulling. Raissa’s Malamutes have earned multiple titles in conformation (CH), obedience (UDX), rally (thru Rally Excellent), and agility (MACH). | Aida Peterson Aida began training her mix breed dog in 1989. Shortly thereafter, she acquired an Australian Shepherd. Aida now trains and shows her Australian Shepherds in flyball and the various agility venues. Aida has multiple flyball and agility titles on her dogs including FGDCH in flyball and MACH and ADCH titles in agility. One of her Australian Shepherds earned 25 different agility titles last year. Jan Sinclair As a teen-ager, Jan started training and showing the family’s Springer Spaniel to a CD title. She has had dogs as small as a daschund and Norwich to as large as a Doberman and Great Pyrenees. Jan has earned obedience (CDX) and tracking titles (TD).
